Why was this club started?

My incentive for this club stems from my own struggle with exploring career options and getting accurate and detailed information about the pathways available. Although we are taught about various jobs in junior high and high school, we never get a glimpse into the perspective and the experience of a real scientist, engineer, or musician.
During the summer of 2021, I resolved to change this experience, which led to the development of Guru Talks.

Through a series of interactive sessions with experts across the STEM, Humanities, and Sports domains, kids like me can ask questions and learn from the experts whose jobs make our world go round.

Why should you join?

Have you ever wanted to know what exactly a professor of psychology does? Or what a neuroscience researcher does? How to become a judge? 

Well, you can get your answers directly from our talks! Our guest speaker sessions allow for direct interaction with these experts. Ask questions, and learn more!

On top of this, are you looking to improve some of your public speaking and writing skills? Well, look no further! We will be hosting Speak to Lead, a speaking competition where- listen to this- you can speak about what you're passionate about. 

Overall, this club will make you a more equipped individual, ready to take on the real world at the end of high school.
